UFI Seminar Basel: Digitisation & Business Transformation in the Exhibition Industry
Published on 6/15/2016 by Christoph Spangenberg
What opportunities and business models does digitisation have to offer? What does successful business transformation look like? How must the exhibition industry deal with the growing security risks? The UFI Open Seminar being staged at the Congress Center Basel from 20 to 22 June 2016 will provide answers and best cases.
At the UFI Open Seminar, industry representatives from all over the world will be meeting up in Basel to discuss the three main topics of digitisation, business transformation and security at events. The focus will be on the opportunities opened up by digitisation as well as their significance for live-marketing organisers who repeatedly have to reach clients at new touch points and develop new, digital business models. Also on the programme is the correct use of social media and the expectations and wishes of the millennials as far as the exhibition industry is concerned. The organisers of Expo Milano 2015 will be providing tips on how exhibition organisers can guarantee security at their events.
The speakers at the UFI Open Seminar in the Congress Center Basel include digital marketing expert Huib van Bockel (Tenzing, UK), behavioural scientist Tessa van Asselt (Netherlands), internet-of-things and innovation expert Bernd Heinrichs (Emear, openBerlin Innovation Center, Germany), Stephan Peyer (MCH Group, Switzerland) and Giacomo Lucchini (Fiera Milano, Italy).
The UFI is the association of the world’s leading tradeshow organisers and fairground owners and sees itself as a communication, marketing and continuing education platform for its members.
