Expo Astana: Swiss pavilion implemented by Expomobilia and Atelier Oï
Published on 6/9/2017 by Christoph Spangenberg
An interactive and surprising exhibition on the issues of energy efficiency and renewable energies: our Expomobilia company, together with Atelier Oï, has been commissioned by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) to implement the Swiss "Flower Power" pavilion at the Expo Astana. We would like to present the pavilion to you:
The first world exhibition in Central Asia will take place from 10 June to 10 September 2017 in Astana and is dedicated to the theme of ‘Future Energy’. The interactive Swiss ‘Flower Power’ pavilion showcases Swiss expertise and innovation in energy efficiency and renewable energies.
The ‘flower power’ slogan stands for energy from natural resources and the potential of renewable energies. The heart and centre of the Swiss pavilion are four thematic houses that are positioned in the centre of the pavilion over a total surface area of 460m2: the Monte Rosa Hut, the Rösti House, the House of Water and the House of Swiss Innovation. While the visitors grapple with the theme of Expo 2017 in the four thematic houses, the environment outside the houses comes to life and begins to flourish: a whimsically playful landscape of rotating trees and colourful projections transform the entire pavilion into a lyrical, living art installation.
