365 days of Prodex and Swisstech: the digital meeting point for the Swiss MEM industry

Industry platforms Prodex and Swisstech are now available all year round, in digital form: at this year's edition, the twin fairs launched, the digital meeting point for the Swiss MEM industry. Members receive content and recommendations tailored to their interests, can browse through companies' offers, make preparations for trade fairs and generate measurable, personal contacts the whole year round. Exhibitors are in touch with visitors 365 days a year.

A total of 726 days elapse between two editions of Switzerland's most important industrial fairs of Prodex and Swisstech. These are 726 days when the twin fairs are preparing for the next edition of their fairs and also when visitors would like to keep up-to-date on the latest topics and companies wish to announce their novelties and innovations. "With, we're creating a point where trade fair visitors can keep up-to-date all year round and can get to know new suppliers", says trade fair manager Eugen Da Pra.

Personalized news, measurable contacts

When registering, visitors record their interests, and select sample applications and interesting products and services – including automation and robotics, mechanical engineering or industry 4.0, precision tools or surface treatment. They then receive news and recommendations based on the details they have entered, both on the website and by e-mail. The portal does not operate like a specialist magazine but rather like a trade fair platform. It is the exhibitors who publish contents: sample applications, videos, highlights for products and services, success stories, information on their company and contacts. During the trade fairs in Basel, video teams then go around capturing interesting contents and posting these online too.

Digital reinforces lLve

The portal is by no means a substitute for the twin exhibitions with all their exhibitors, innovations, expert lectures, sample applications and exhibits, plus personal discussions. The digital meeting point is designed to expand and reinforce the physical and personal live event. Visitors should be able to inform themselves well enough to meet up with the right exhibitors in a specifically targeted manner and thus benefit from high-quality contacts. Da Pra: "The complexity of technologies is constantly increasing, generating a need for an increasing number of explanations. This is precisely why meeting points like trade fairs are relevant and make a correspondingly important contribution." is free of charge for registered visitors. Companies publishing content pay an annual contribution. Exhibitors at Prodex and Swisstech entered more than 630 content items prior to the launch. And a large number of eminent companies are taking part. In the short test phase prior to the official launch, more than 9,500 users registered already.
