Structures that make success possible
The holding company MCH Group Ltd., based in Basel, is a joint-stock company with public-law entities as shareholders in accordance with Art. 762 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR). The corporate group is led by the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of MCH Group AG.
Management
Our leadership team
The Executive Board appointed by the Board of Directors holds responsibility for the group’s operational management. Details on the members of the Executive Board can be found in our Annual Report.
As the senior operational management body of our global group of companies, the Group Management Team represents all business units and services and operates as a globally networked team focused on our customers and their needs.
Andrea Zappia brings extensive international leadership experience in the media, consumer goods, and automotive industries. He is currently Chairman of SkyShowtime, a joint venture between Sky and Paramount Global. In addition, he serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Nomination and Compensation Committee (NNC) of EssilorLuxottica.
Zappia began his career at Procter & Gamble, where he worked as European Group Marketing Manager. From 1996 to 2001, he served as Global Sales and Marketing Director at Ferrari and Maserati. In 2003, he joined Sky Italia, where he held various leadership roles before serving as CEO from 2011 to 2019. From 2020 to 2023, he was CEO and EVP for New Markets and New Businesses at Sky Group, where he was also responsible for SkyStudios and SkyNews.
Andrea Zappia was born in Tripoli and raised in Bologna, where he earned a degree in Economics
Eleonora Gennari has been the Group Chief Financial Officer of MCH Group since July 2024. She is an Italian citizen and has extensive experience in finance and corporate management. Prior to her appointment, she was CFO at Capgemini and previously served as Deputy CFO at Sky Italia. In addition, she held various senior finance positions at Sky Deutschland.
Eleonora holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics and Finance and has gained deep expertise in financial strategy, corporate governance, and transformation throughout her career.
Frederic Michel is the Chief Communications and Corporate Affairs Officer. He was the Chief Adviser to the French President Emmanuel Macron in 2022 and 2023. He has been a Partner of the investment holding Lupa Systems since 2018. Previously he was founding Director of an international think-tank for the UK Prime Minister’s office and the global partner of a pioneering corporate reputation agency. He has held senior Group positions in global media and tech corporations such as News Corporation, Telefonica, or Sky Group. He holds a diploma from the Institute for Political Sciences in Bordeaux; MAs from Sussex European Institute and the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, and was a PhD candidate at the European University Institute in Fiesole, Florence.
Daniel Marion joined the MCH Group in April 2024 in the newly created role of Group Chief Information Officer (CIO). A leading expert in IT and digital transformation, particularly in the sports and entertainment sector, Daniel spent most of his career at UEFA. In 2021, he was recognized as a technology influencer by SportsPro and in 2023 was named one of the top 20 CIOs in Europe by CIOReview.
Roman Imgrüth is CEO of the Exhibitions & Events Division. After 13 years with a leading international management consultancy, Roman joined MCH Group in October 2019. He initially served as Head of Corporate Development, where he was responsible for driving the Group’s transformation. In 2021, Roman took over the Own Events portfolio. In this role, he led the restructuring of the exhibition portfolio, the reorganization of the exhibition business, and the expansion of digital offerings.
In 2023, Roman expanded his responsibilities to include the Guest Events business as well as the exhibition and congress infrastructure in Basel and Zurich. Today, Roman serves as CEO of the Exhibitions Division. In October 2023, he was elected to the Board of UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry.
Roman has a comprehensive academic background in economics.
Don Lee has been the CEO of MC² since fall 2022 and the CEO of the Live Marketing Solutions (LMS) division since March 2024. He has over 25 years of leadership experience in the live event and experience industry and has advised many of the world's most innovative and successful brands.
Noah Horowitz returned to Art Basel as CEO in November 2022, after serving as Director Americas from 2015 to 2021. Prior to that, he led Sotheby’s business strategy and relationships with the international dealer community and served as Executive Director of The Armory Show in New York for four years. Noah holds a PhD in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London and is the author of Art of the Deal: Contemporary Art in a Global Financial Market.
Cintia brings over 25 years of comprehensive Human Resources leadership, with executive experience at national, regional, and global levels. She is a culturally attuned leader who has worked across Latin America, the United States, and Europe, offering a wide-ranging international viewpoint.
Her professional journey has taken her through varied sectors and leading organizations, including Givaudan, Invacare, Syngenta, MetLife, and Motorola. Throughout her career, Cintia has demonstrated a resolute commitment to delivering results by fostering agile and high-performance cultures, developing strong leadership capabilities, and building resilient, engaged teams.

The Board of Directors is responsible inter alia for the company’s top management, for determining the corporate strategy and configuring the organisation, the accounting system and financial control, the internal control system, the risk management and financial planning, and also for preparing and conducting the General Meeting.
