Under the theme "A Blooming Future," Giardina 2025 will open its doors from March 12 to 16 at Messe Zürich. The leading indoor event for outdoor living will set new standards this year with pioneering concepts for sustainability and biodiversity. Visitors can look forward to a celebration of the senses.

Sustainability, Design, and Innovation in Focus

This year's theme highlights the emotional and colorful beauty of gardens, balconies, and terraces while integrating a sustainable vision for the green industry. "With Giardina, we set new impulses in the world of gardening every year – a symbiosis of innovation, tradition, and the desires of garden, terrace, and balcony owners," explains Co-Director Ajas Kulici.

From aesthetic masterpieces to ecological living spaces, Giardina 2025 demonstrates how outdoor areas of the future can be designed: vibrant, sustainable, and inspiring. In addition to impressive show gardens, visitors can expect practical solutions, furniture, and accessories for outdoor living – whether in small or large spaces.

At the Giardina Forum, experts will provide insights into how biodiversity can be enhanced in outdoor spaces. Topics include native plantings, insect and bird habitats, and sustainable irrigation. Myriam Rothenbühler and Antonia Eisenhut from Grün Stadt Zürich will discuss urban ecology, Axel Heinrich (ZHAW) will explain the role of wild perennials in biodiversity, and Prof. Matthias Erb from Boum AG will present innovative, water-saving irrigation solutions.

Exhibitor Highlights 2025

This year, both established exhibitors and first-time participants will showcase their innovations. Companies such as Winkler Richard Naturgärten, JardinSuisse, Egli Grün Gartenbau, VEG and the City, ausLeidenschaft, and Hunn Gartenmöbel will be present.

A special highlight among the newcomers at Giardina 2025 is hide and grow GmbH, introducing an innovative irrigation system. Wireless soil sensors measure moisture levels and transmit data via Bluetooth, ensuring that watering is only activated when necessary. The system can be easily integrated into existing setups, providing precise plant care and efficient water usage – a benefit for both gardens and the environment.

An Essential Platform for the Green Industry

Giardina is not only a highlight for garden lovers but also an essential platform for the green industry in Switzerland. Companies, professionals, and enthusiasts can connect, present innovative projects, and shape the future of garden design together.

„Giardina is more than just an exhibition – it is a place of inspiration and exchange."
