From 3 to 5 March 2026, Basel will host the health.tech global summit 2026, bringing together the international healthtech community to discuss the future of digital health. Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the world’s most influential immunologists and former chief medical advisor to the U.S. government during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been confirmed as a keynote speaker.
Dr. Anthony Fauci served for decades as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and advised seven U.S. presidents on key issues of national and global health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a pivotal role in international crisis management. As a leading HIV/AIDS researcher, he was also a co-architect of the PEPFAR program, which has saved millions of lives worldwide.
In his presentation, Dr. Fauci will explore the lessons learned from global health crises—from HIV/AIDS to COVID-19—and examine the growing importance of artificial intelligence in diagnostics, surveillance, and pandemic preparedness.
Dr. Fauci’s appearance is part of an international program featuring experts from more than 60 countries. Participants include decision-makers from pharmaceuticals, medtech, digital health, hospitals, start-ups, investment, and public institutions.
