MCH Group achieved a positive half-year result for the third consecutive time. Despite slightly lower revenues, net profit rose to CHF 5.3 million, supported by efficiency measures and solid contributions across business areas.

MCH Group has announced its half-year result for 2025, marking the third consecutive positive result following years of losses. The Group reported operating income of CHF 222.4 million (2024: CHF 236.6 million), EBITDA of CHF 18.9 million (2024: CHF 15.3 million), and a net profit of CHF 5.3 million (2024: CHF 3.8).

The increase in profitability reflects the positive impact of efficiency measures implemented across the company, which streamlined processes and reduced the cost base.

Performance across business areas was solid:

  • Art Basel confirmed its global importance with successful shows in Hong Kong and Basel, where its 55th edition delivered strong sales across all segments.

  • MCH Exhibitions & Events showcased its capability with the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, highlighting the value of strong institutional partnerships.

  • Live Marketing Solutions delivered more than 800 projects worldwide, including major assignments for Novartis, Disney, Samsung, Verizon, and Caterpillar.

Looking ahead, MCH Group expects revenues to return to growth in the second half of 2025. Key drivers include the seasonal strength of the exhibition business and the new strategic partnership with Qatar Sport Investments (QSI). In addition, the sale of the Expomobilia building in Effretikon will generate a one-off positive effect on EBITDA and cash flow.

“The progress we are seeing confirms that our efficiency measures are taking hold. At the same time, we are investing in partnerships and new formats that will lay the foundation for future growth.”

Alongside these results, the Group continues to prepare for major upcoming milestones, including Ilmac in Basel this September, Art Basel Paris in October, and the 60th anniversary edition of IGEHO later in the year. Preparations are also underway for Art Basel Qatar in February 2026 and the new Health.Tech Global Summit in March 2026. With a combination of financial discipline, operational efficiency, and strategic investment, MCH Group is building the foundations for long-term, sustainable growth.
