MC² Focus Story – The Squared Effect Internship Program 2025

Eva Mai
Group Junior Communication Manager

In 2025, MC² proudly continued its partnerships with the New Jersey Center for Hispanic Policy, Research, and Development (CHPRD) and HISPA, working together to guide students on their path from promising talent to emerging professionals for the third time.

The 2025 cohort featured Jennifer Menchu and Jaden Calaman, both joining MC² as Digital Marketing Interns. Over the course of the eight-week program, they gained hands-on experience and explored the fast-paced nature of digital marketing in real time.

Jaden developed a new perspective on how digital marketing is applied day-to-day within a global experiential agency. His role centered on supporting digital marketing efforts including content strategy, search engine optimization, and web development. He also collaborated with the sales enablement team, contributing to case studies for digital asset management and conducting targeted research that informed internal strategic projects.

Jennifer supported the full content strategy lifecycle, from ideation through distribution. Throughout the internship, she sharpened her copywriting skills by drafting newsletters and conducting competitive landscape analyses for MC², strengthening her understanding of how strategic communication supports business development and marketing initiatives.

Looking ahead, MC² aims to expand The Squared Effect beyond Paramus, leveraging its 14 U.S. locations to create nationwide pathways into the events and experiential industry. By deepening relationships with nonprofit and state-funded partners, MC² seeks to open more doors for students across the country and help cultivate the next generation of diverse leaders.
