In March 2025, Expomobilia received the Green Booth Excellence Award at the Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF) for the booth created for Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG). The recognition highlights how sustainable material choices, modular design and visitor engagement can combine to create an exhibition experience that is both compelling and environmentally responsible.

Circular by design

The booth concept was developed around circular-design principles and focused on replacing conventional materials with more environmental-friendly alternatives. Bamboo components, recycled plastics, and reusable modular structures formed the core of the build. Additional elements, such as 3D-printed components to minimize material waste and visitor workshops demonstrating up-cycling techniques, reinforced the project’s educational and environmental ambition.

Award-winning impact

The Green Booth Excellence Award acknowledges the project’s ability to link sustainability, creativity and practical implementation. Beyond the recognition itself, the booth demonstrated how exhibition spaces can be designed for reuse and reduced environmental impact while still delivering strong brand presence and high visitor engagement.

Looking ahead

The project further strengthened Expomobilia’s approach to modularity, material efficiency and lifecycle thinking. It serves as a blueprint for future builds that prioritize both design quality and environmental performance, showing that sustainability can be an integral and celebrated part of the exhibition experience.
