Successful Premiere of the health.tech | global summit in Basel Attracts Around 6,000 Participants
The first edition of the health.tech | global summit brought together around 6,000 participants from across the world in Basel. Over three days, the international conference connected leaders from healthcare, technology, research, investment and start-ups, highlighting innovations shaping the future of health.
The inaugural health.tech | global summit concluded successfully after three days in Basel, welcoming approximately 6,000 participants from around the globe. The new international conference brought together executives, researchers, investors, start-up founders and CEOs from the healthcare and technology sectors to exchange ideas and explore emerging trends.
The program focused on innovations at the intersection of healthcare, technology and entrepreneurship. More than 120 start-ups presented their ideas and solutions, while keynotes, panel discussions and pitch sessions addressed developments in areas such as digital health, artificial intelligence in medicine and new models of patient care.
Organized by MCH Group in collaboration with the European start-up festival Bits & Pretzels, the summit aimed to create a platform that connects key stakeholders across the life sciences value chain. The strong international participation underlined the global interest in innovation in healthcare and demonstrated the relevance of the new platform.

The final day of the event highlighted Basel as the host city. Under the programme element “Basel Unlocked”, participants explored the region’s life sciences ecosystem through company visits, workshops and guided tours organised together with Basel Tourism. The programme included visits to international companies such as Roche, Novartis and EY as well as local manufacturers and cultural institutions.
The next edition of the health.tech | global summit will take place from 2 to 4 March 2027 in Basel.
