Decarbonize operations to realize Net Zero by 2050

Decarbonize is aimed at decarbonizing business operations by 2050 and achieving net zero emissions. The interim targets are a 50% reduction in direct emissions (Scope 1 and 2) and a 20% reduction in indirect emissions (Scope 3) by 2030. This commitment is supported by MCH Group’s membership of Net Zero Carbon Events (NZCE) and by Art Basel’s active participation in the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC).

Optimizing Art Logistics at Art Basel

Art Basel is actively committed to measuring and reducing its CO₂ footprint and works closely with its official freight forwarders, who handle around 80% of all art shipments. In collaboration with the Global Climate Coalition (GCC), workshops were held in 2023 to educate logistics partners on the importance of data transparency and sustainable solutions.
