Spring Music Session Basel 2025: The Line-Up is Here!

From April 2 to April 5, 2025, MesseQuartier Basel will transform into a vibrant stage for live music. The Spring Music Session 2025 brings top-class artists, an exciting band contest, and a diverse program for all music lovers.
The Spring Music Session Basel has announced its 2025 line-up, promising four days of musical highlights. Alongside renowned artists, the band contest takes center stage: 70 bands from across Switzerland have applied – with the finalists competing for the grand prize, a performance at the Eurovision Village during the ESC.
The festival offers a varied program:
Wednesday: Band contest final – the winner secures a performance at the Eurovision Song Contest and a CHF 2,000 cash prize.
Thursday: Marc Sway & Band present their new album Roots, supported by the A-cappella ensemble Invivas.
Friday: German music project Glockenbach brings its unique electronic sounds to Basel.
Saturday: The Spice Girls Tribute Party takes the audience back to the ‘90s.

In addition to live performances, the Spring Music Session features a jury of renowned musicians, who will select the best newcomers from the band contest. Two jury members, both former Eurovision Song Contest representatives for Switzerland, bring valuable experience and will help prepare the winners for their ESC performance. “We are overwhelmed by the national response and thrilled by the widespread interest. The jury is currently selecting the bands that will compete for the grand prize,” says Urs Poživil, project manager and managing director of Sandoase and Bambusnest. For four nights, the Cube Concept Club at MesseQuartier will serve as the central stage for a music festival featuring live shows and emerging talents. From indie and electronic to pop, the program offers something for every taste.
