Since 2024, MC² Europe has been using fully electric forklifts to significantly reduce the CO₂ footprint of its warehouse operations. The two previously gas-powered forklifts were replaced with electric models after the lease on the old equipment expired. This decision marks a key step towards more sustainable logistics.

One major advantage of the new forklifts is their long operating time: they can run for an entire workday without needing a recharge, ensuring efficient and predictable operations. To monitor energy consumption precisely, the forklifts have been equipped with electricity meters that track total usage for the company’s annual CO₂ reporting.

Switching to electric motors is expected to reduce emissions by approximately 75.9%, equating to an annual reduction of around 1,615 kg CO₂e, as most of the required electricity is sourced from the company’s own photovoltaic system.
