In its second year, The Squared Effect internship program at MC² continued to create meaningful opportunities for students from underrepresented communities, exposing them to an industry that remains unfamiliar to many—the events and experiential sector.

This year’s cohort, featuring Perla Lopez, Maddox Malave, and Jasmine Reyes, engaged in an intensive eight-week program modeled as a bootcamp. Each intern tackled assignments in marketing, strategy, and data administration, building confidence and competence in key business areas.

The positive influence of the program was already evident from its inaugural year, as demonstrated by the story of Caesar Sanchez. A standout intern from the first cohort, Caesar embraced every challenge and task, leaving a lasting impression on the MC² team. Bruno Silva, Vice President of Marketing at MC², recalls the impact: “When four different team members came to me advocating for Caesar’s hire, it was clear he had made a significant contribution.” Caesar eventually joined MC², illustrating how The Squared Effect can help launch meaningful careers and bring fresh talent into the fold.

Looking ahead, the program aims to broaden its reach beyond Paramus. By working closely with New Jersey’s Center for Hispanic Policy Research & Development (CHPRD) and exploring partnerships with other state-funded and nonprofit organizations across the country, MC² plans to mirror the successful framework that helped foster Caesar’s own career path. With MC² offices located in 14 other cities, the company envisions establishing nationwide channels to connect aspiring students with the event space industry. In doing so, The Squared Effect will continue to provide transformative experiences and nurture the next generation of leaders—no matter where they call home.
