Igeho Rising Star – the award for founders and start-ups

Just in time for the 2021 edition, Igeho is launching the Igeho Rising Star - an award for founders and start-ups to promote innovative, sustainable solutions and start-up concepts. An independent jury of experts will present the award at Igeho on 24 November 2021 in Basel.

The Igeho Rising Star offers talents and start-ups from the hospitality scene a professional stage to present outstanding, innovative and sustainable business models to a broad professional audience and to network with the Swiss hospitality industry and potential investors.

Participation in this competition is open to founders and young companies based in Switzerland or Liechtenstein that are developing or already offering innovative, sustainable products and services or digital business models. Fresh ideas for the hospitality industry with the potential to influence the future in a groundbreaking way are sought.

During the qualification phase, six finalist teams will be nominated from all submissions. These teams are entitled to present themselves free of charge to the professional audience of Switzerland’s largest hospitality platform with a stand in the newly created “Innovation Area” and to present their ideas in the Speakers Corner. On site, the independent, six-member jury of experts will evaluate the participants and their projects according to their innovative strength, market relevance, sustainability and growth potential and will select the respective winning team in the category of founders or start-ups. The winners will receive the Igeho Rising Star as well as coaching. The total value of the cash and non-cash prizes awarded as part of the Igeho Rising Star is around CHF 25,000.
