Holz 2022 expects more than 30,000 visitors

From October 11 to 15, the trade fair Holz attracts around 33,000 visitors in Basel where 300 exhibitors present their latest products and innovations on 45,000 m2. It is an honor that the "World Skills" championships for joinery, carpentry and cabinetmaking are held within the framework of the oldest trade fair in Switzerland.

From Tuesday to Friday, visitors can watch the craftspeople at work and cheer them on during the competitions. There will be a lot of hammering, sawing, and passionate fighting for the coveted titles – with a crowning finale on Saturday at 2 p.m. when the award ceremonies will take place.

“It is a joy to welcome the Swiss woodworking industry as well as the participants of the World Skills in carpentry, joinery, and cabinetmaking in Basel.”

Tanja Fischer, Project Manager Holz

Holz 2022 is all about personal encounters, innovation, young talents, and tradition, as well as a passion for craftsmanship. The fair offers the unique opportunity to get a complete overview of the Swiss woodworking industry and to discover all about the latest relevant innovations and trends.
